Industry leading and high end video-art streaming platform Artplay approached kulturspace with a challenge that we couldn't turn down. Design a rock solid web, and ecommerce site that is at the same time easy and intuitive to use and as well aligns with Artplay's sophisticated brand DNA.

About the client

Artplay is the first universal platform to collect, archive, exhibit and sell the world's most influential moving images. Used by art collectors, galleries and artists alike it is transforming the digital art world.

Web design

The design team at kulturspace was challenged by the client to create a high impact site, focusing on the moving image, that at the same time functions as a rock solid ecommerce site with very high end services and offers.

Fluidity

One unique aspect of the design thinking was to align our work with the core of Artplay - moving image. That meant using all formats available for this mp4's, gif's and so on.

Understanding the client

To make the clients vision come to life our team had to appeal to both the high-end collectors and galleries as well as striking a cool, artsy vibe.

Technology & Coding

On the less glamorous side of this project, the backend, our developers and coders custom built a safe, members-only section where sensitive transactions takes place.
